Dirk Pieper from BASE spoke on the topic of "Metadata on OA books in BASE" about cross-system metadata communication and standardization as fundamental prerequisites for the development of BASE with a focus on metadata for OA books and book chapters within the system, whose share of the total index has increased significantly in recent years, and highlighted the challenge of further dissemination of metadata on OA books.
